An objection by Royston Ffrench on the second horse Prince Tamino was upheld and he got the race from Mariol who impeded him at the 200m post and that cost Mariol the race Tadhg O'Shea finishes first but Royston Ffrench is close enough to get the result turned around, Ali Rashid Al Raihe trains Prince Tamino on his first UAE start

A Mike De Kock double with a live contender for the UAE 1000 Guineas in Honour Devil who won easily after tussling with eventual third Aquino, My Indy stayed on for second John Murtagh with Honour Devil after their clear cut win over a big field of three year olds and some good reputations were put to the test, a good winner of a good race

Book Of Music wins from Gravitas and that is a 1-2 for trainer Saeed bin Suroor, the winner won here last season over course and distance and he looks in fine form again Willie Supple shows everyone at the track what they are missing with his only ride tonight a winning one, he gave Book Of Music a great ride to come with a late and fast run

Linngari comes fast and late to deny Divine Jury and a Mike De Kock treble, this Group I horse trained by Herman Brown was well fancied by the stable to win this handicap Ryan Moore in his new retained job for Herman Brown rides their first winner of the Carnival on Linngari who won last time out in Milan and this is his tenth career win

Well a Group 3 for Mike De Kock's champion Asiatic Boy with the Al Shindagha Sprint and that is a fine treble for the trainer and he is setting a fast pace now with 4 Carnival wins John Murtagh rode a great race aboard Asiatic Boy in a race way back in distance for him and the way he won this puts him well into the picture for the Dubai World Cup in March

Godolphin's Al Shemali gives Saeed bin Suroor a double on the night and his fourth winner of the Carnival, and a 1-2 as Al Shemali who was favourite beat Teslin Frankie Dettori with his third winner of the Carnival was confident he would win this race as he went down to the start he said "this is the one" adn he was dead right of course
