strike in the first race with Al Arab, an entry last week in
the Group 3 Maktoum Challenge had him as a reserve and so his
trainer Antonio Cintra Pereira chose this handicap and he duly
won his fifth race |
The
happy trainer leads in Al Arab and Waldomiro Blandi who has
ridden this horse for most of his career, they gelled together
for an easy victory from Swift Gift and Sovereign Remedy back
in third |

trained by Musabah Al Muhairi Mutheeb storms home 5 lengths
clear of Stoic in second, the winner was seen at the trials
winning well and after a decent fifth place from a wide draw
last week he appreciated the inside draw here tonight |

Hils followed his win last week at Meydan with a good victory
aboard Mutheeb, he was happy with the result and said he was
looking forward to riding Oiseau De Feu later on inthe Group
3 Al Rashidiya for Erwan Charpy |

| In
the final 200m and Musir hits the front for Mike de Kock who
has a record second to none in this event and he can look forward
now to the 2000 Guineas with his Grade 1 winner in South Africa |
At
the line and Christophe Soumillon cheekily looks over at Frankie
Dettori on Frozen Power to see he has the race won, Musir was
the talking horse before the start of the meeting and he duly
obliged |

| Two
meetings in a row Mike de Kock scores a double in successive
races and Mr Brock surprised a few people here including the
trainer as he stormed away from Tartan Gigha in second and the
cut in trip seemed to suit Mr Brock well |
Kevin
Shea this time and that means danger to all the opposition with
both jockeys in great form, Christophe Soumillon has had three
winners and now Kevin is sure to be hot on his trail with more
winners of his own |

| So
close but Godolphin and Saeed bin Suroor collect with Global
City who loves the synthetic surfaces having won his last start
at Lingfield and Simon Crisford was unsure if with the late
finish if 1400m would be better for their charge |
Ted
Durcan would have been worried getting off Sir Gerry who won
last week to ride for Godolphin but he need not have worried
as he duly won on Global City just by a nose from Montpellier
with Sir Gerry running well again to finish fourth |

| Godolphin
strike again for a double with a great win by Alexandros who
beat a good finish by Crowded House and now could be aimed at
the Dubai Duty Free in March on Dubai World Cup day but he revelled
in the Group 3 Al Rashidiya |
Two
weeks running and a leap from Frankie Dettori celebrating his
Group 3 winner and that was his 23rd Group winner in the UAE
over the many seasons that Frankie has been in the UAE, Alexandros
was winning his eighth career victory |

| Another
blanket finish with Godolphin scoring again and a treble with
Age Of Reason just heading Titurel and Mojave Moon, Saeed bin
Suroor trained the winner, third and fourth in this race they
are running very well indeed |
Frankie
Dettori secured his double with an absolutely well timed run
aboard Age Of Reason and it was a great finish to this long
distance race over 2800m, Titurel ran a good race as did Mojave
Moon all of the first three home are very good stayers |

| Fantastic
night also for Mike de Kock with King Of Rome following up his
good second place behind stable mate Lizard's Desire last week
with a easy win here beating Brazil's Hot Six who ran very well
indeed |

Shea secured his own double and King Of Rome enjoys a lovely
cool wash down which he fully deserves, the facilities at Meydan
are wonderful for the horses and again the have delivered a
great night |
