| Well
the first Thoroughbred race falls to the ever successful Mike
de Kock and it was a 3yo fillies race and Raihana put her field
to the sword sprinting away to win very comfortably from Waasemah
from Saudi |
Christophe
Soumillon needs no practice as he wins on his first ride at
Meydan and what a win by Raihana who came here fresh from a
win in South Africa and she should be a warm order in the Guineas |

broke welland led early but let Bennie Blue take over the leg

Cumani starts the Carnival well with an impressive winer in
Drunken Sailor who stays much further than the 2200m he ran
tonight and he was put into the lead well into the straight
to win comfortably |
You
cannot keep Kieran Fallon away from the winners and he gave
Drunken Sailor a fantastic ride, the connections would not shy
away from stepping up in trip as he won well over further in

bin Suroor and Godolphin are off the mark with Whispering Gallery
who hails from the UK with three wins from four starts and added
this to his record winning with a leading all the way performance |
The
usual celebration from Frankie Dettori when he wins a good race
but extra special with his first winner at Meydan, he rode Whispering
Gallery brilliantly to defeat Halicarnassus from the Mick Channon
yard |

| A
spirited run by Gloria De Campeao holding off the late charge
of Forgotten Voice and gives Pascal Bary a great start to the
2010 Carnival with his charge who was second in the 2009 Dubai
World Cup |
Good
start also for Tiago Pereira who rides Gloria De Campeao regularly,
they were together in Singapore when winning a Grade 1 and this
win bears well for another run in March in the Dubai World Cup |
