A drop of a couple of pounds by the handicapper and a run over a longer trip could make all the difference, this is what the connections of Starboard will be hoping although Godlphin have a strong hand in this race.

David Simcock`s charge has not won for over a season and his form suggests he would like a little cut in the ground, he won`t get that on teh Tapeta track but he keeps William Buick on top and that is a plus.

Saeed bin Suroor runs Tha`ir whose two outings have been okay so far under Silvestre De Sousa, they will be hoping to improve on the third place behind Sanshaawes. Sixth in that race was Charlie Appleby`s Winterlude and with Mickael barzalona they should be confident on an improved run here, he was having his first outing since October so should be a lot fitter in the last race on the card and could go off favourite.

Likely to be challenging in the market will be Energia Davos who was an eye catching third in the race behind Sanshaawes, Marco Botti and Martin Harley will be confident of a strong race by their charge.
