South African maestro Mike De Kock runs two live chances in the Listed Meydan Classic with the favourite Wednaan ridden by Christophe Soumillon who was third to Long John in the UAE 2000 Guineas, further back was Jallota who found the trip too far and although 1200m would be perfect he will appreciate the 1400m in this race.

Previously trained by Mick Channon he won his maiden but then went onto much better races, he was fourth to No Nay Never in the Group I Prix Morny at Deauville in August and also 7th to Astaire in the Group I Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket in October. This form could see Jallota challenging especially at this trip and Jim Crowley keeps the ride.
