Rutland Boy who won three in a row on the Tapeta track over the trip of a mile two seasons ago when in the care of Ali Rashid Al Raihe makes a return to the track now trained by Michael Bell, he would need to find that form to try and compete in the opening race Thursday.

He is running over 1400m here and may find a few in the race that could be hard to beat although he has Jamie Spencer riding and he is worth a few lengths, this will be his first start this season and may need the outing to get to full fitness.

Modern History makes his return to the track after making the running over course and distance just to be passed by his stablemate Fulbright on the line, the team of Charlie Appleby and Mickael Barzalona cannot be ignored with their rich vein of form.

The same could be said of Saeed bin Suroor who leads the Dubai World Cup Carnival with nine winners so far, he runs My Freedom who was behind Modern History but since ran a much better race when third to Eastern Rules who has won twice in the Carnival already so he must have a chance under Silvestre De Sousa.

If Kanaf can bring his Jebel Ali form to Meydan then he will be a big player having won four times this season at the sand track, leading overall trainer Musabah Al Muhairi and Paul Hanagan have a great record together this season and will be hoping that Kanaf adapts to the track at Meydan and continues his winning form.
