A close up 4th to Alsaaeqah at the end of January has connections of Abstraction very hopeful of improvement and a victory in the Dubai World Cup Carnival, it will be the first winner for trainer Sarah Dawson in the UAE if the 4yo can get his head in front for the first time since June 2013 when he won at Tipperary in Ireland. Fergal Lynch keeps the ride aboard Abstraction who was just half a length down when beaten last time out.

Top rated Catcall has a big chance however, last seen out when a neck second to Maarek in the Group 1 Qatar prix De L’Abbaye de Longchamp when he looked all over the winner. He will have the services of jockey Christophe Lemaire at Meydan and has by far the best form coming into this race of the whole field and the best rating by far of 113. He is trained by Philippe Sogorb who is having his first runner in the Dubai World Cup Carnival and who will be hoping at the end of the night to have a 100% winning record.
