Michael Halford has his Dubai World Cup Carnival string in fine form and he lines up last race winner Eastern Rules against Zahee again who had him 3rd beaten a length when they met at the end of January, this time Eastern Rules will be a kilogram better off for a one length defeat and that could be all the difference needed to grab another win with the in-form Shane Foley in the saddle.

Zahee is dropped back to 1400m after running 5th to Prince Bishop in the Al Maktoum Challenge R2 over 2000m, this could be a good move by trainer Mike De Kock as Zahee seemed to enjoy the win over the lesser distance. The choice seemingly by Christophe Soumillon to ride Zahee over dual winner Anaerobio is very significant, the Mike De Kock team is also running Kavanagh and Richard Hughes rides him with Patrick Cosgrave riding Anaerobio.
