The Mikel Delzangles trained and Sheikh Joaan bin Hamed Al Thani owned Mshawish has allowed Frankie Dettori to make his return to racing in the Group 2 Al Fahidi Fort, the 4yo colt has big runs when 4th to Intello in the Prix Du Jockey Club and also 4th to Dawn Approach in the St James`s Palace Stakes both Group 1`s.

That form is very good and although Mshawish has not run a trip below a mile before this trip of 1400m a change for this race formerly run over 1600m, he should be good enough to mount a very big challenge.

South African trainers will be bidding for a ninth win in this race and Sean Tarry has the top rated Heavy Metal whose form is in much longer trips than this 1400m, while that could be his downfall Mike de Kock runs Anaerobio a dual course and distance winner who must have a real chance to win again.

Doug Watson runs Dux Scholar whose last run impressed so much and the fact that he comes back to 1400m must give him a massive chance also. So a very decent Al Fahidi Fort will be a terrific race to see on the Meydan turf track.
