| Another 1-2 for Godolphin and it was a slight
surprise as Regal Ransom showed a good deal of improvement to
beat the biggest favourite of the whole race meeting Desert
Party, these two had finished the other way around in their
previous two meetings including the UAE 2000 Guineas. But an
inspired ride by Alan Garcia on Regal Ransom had him clear into
the straight and Frankie Dettori was trying his best on Desert
Party to nab the leader but it never was going to be, a good
double winning both the Group 2 events by trainer Saeed bin
Suroor. Soy Libriano who won last time out ran a distant third
place under Ahmed Ajtebi for Mubarak bin Shafya and So Shiny
who likes to lead and tried to make all was fourth for Fernando
Jara and Jerry Barton. |
