| An inspirational season for trainer Rod Simpson
finished in the best possible way with his Group I performer
Fryvolous winning the 20009 Group I Kahayla Classic with the
utmost ease and a great ride by Daragh O'Donohoe who confidently
took the winner to the front into the straight and powered away
over the 2000m trip, this race coming after two Group I victories
in sprint races and it shows how versatile Fryvolous is and
he is a horse who could defend his title here next season as
he runs on any surface as well. Nil Blanc from Qatar ran a great
race in second place under Adrie de Vries for trainer Rashid
Al Jehani from Qatar and they were well clear of third place
finisher Paris Gagner with Richard Hills riding for trainer
Doug Watson. |
