Invasor delivered where many expected and Discreet Cat failed in many peoples eyes but he just did not stay and was always struggling at the back of the field but take nothing away from the winner who was a brilliant winner, Kieran McLaughlin the former Dubai Champion trainer who was here many years returned to his biggest triumph winning the biggest prize in the history of flat racing, and it was great to see a brilliant horse win both now the Dubai World Cup and the Breeders Cup Classic a feat that can be done only by special performers. The Saudi challenger Premium Tap ran his heart out and pressed Invasor all the way and these two were clear and it was a very young man who takes the headlines in Fernando Jara an 18yo jockey of immense ability, and of course HH Sheikh Hamdan with the winners of the richest flat race and also the richest Pure Bred Arabian race with Madjani an amazing double. |
